SISTER MOON FARM STAND OPEN, FRIDAY JUNE 28TH

Yup, we're gonna do it again this week.

We polished off the spinach last week so don't expect any on the table.  However, we are adding Napa Cabbage or what some call Chinese Cabbage.  It's a crisp, crunchy veggie that has leaves I like to use for a sturdy salad wrap.  It's also great chopped up raw for a salad, quick-cooked in a stir-fry, as a mild green in a brothy soup or used as a dipper for your favorite appetizer spread.  If you haven't tried it, I recommend it for its crunchiness and versatile uses.

We will have lettuce on the table, I'm just not sure what kind yet.  So if you are pre-ordering this week and want lettuce, let me know in the notes and I can give you a heads up when I know for sure what I'll be harvesting for Friday and you can choose.

This will be the last week for plant starts.  We have cherry, slicer and paste tomatoes.  We have green zucchini, yellow zucchini, and butternut squash.  We also have basil, serrano pepper, jalapeno pepper, and rosa bianca eggplant.

As some of you know, I'm growing for an event starting July 9th.  Our Farm Stand will  be closed for the month of July as the garden will have slim pickings after I harvest for the event and I will be out of town for a portion of the month.  I'll keep you posted on when produce will be available again from our garden.

If you want to pre-order to better guarantee you get what you want, head to my website and go to the “Farm Fresh” page and follow the directions. You will receive a confirmation email from me once I’ve seen your order. Hope to see you at the table Friday!
