Here comes SUMMER SOLSTICE! Welcome to the beginning of summer, Farm Folk! We will be opening the farm stand this Friday from 11 am - 1 pm. If this timing doesn't work for you, please get a hold of me by phone, email or message and we'll find another time to connect at the farm to fill your grocery sack.
This week is the end of the spinach so come get this nutrient dense green for your table. We have a glut of snap and snow peas. If I can get Karla to share, we might have some shelling peas on the farm table soon. The new addition to the table this week is bok choy. I love this crunchy-stemmed veggie and its greens in a stir fry or a quick saute'. I even chop it in a salad and add an Asian dressing. Makes my teeth and my belly happy!
We have slicer, cherry and paste tomato starts in gallon pots this week. I'm adding summer squash starts in gallon pots, too. We have a few jalapeno and serrano pepper starts, as well. And our basil starts are beautiful and waiting for new homes!
Feel free to pre-order on the "Farm Fresh" page of my website by Thursday night to improve your chances of getting what you want. Boxes can be picked up at the Farm Stand on Friday.
