Sister Moon Gardens is finishing up some plantings and has extras. Summer squash, tomato, and pepper plant starts are on the table tomorrow for $2-3 for a 3 inch pot. Delicious varieties like Old German tomato, Yellow Fin Zucchini and Early Jalapeno Peppers are available, and several more. We’ve also got Snap Peas this week and Shelling Peas are next week! Nothing like peas right out of the garden, in my opinion.
The weather and an aphid bloom in the field have slowed down the next round of lettuce and others as well as new bed prep. There may be a hiccup in some of your favorites for a bit. But the SPINACH IS GORGEOUS and will be with us for a bit longer.
And the Kale is sizing up. I just ate a whole bunch in one sitting last Friday! I made kale chips and they went down super easy during a movie I was watching. Before I knew it, I’d eaten the whole batch! Great way to get your nutrient dense super greens. Give it a try!
